Dalby Forest - Hungate guests receive unlimited entry to Dalby Forest during your stay.    A host of walking and cycling paths to choose from, and 2 children's adventure playgrounds; stop for a picnic or visit the cafe at the Visitor Centre.  Go Ape Dalby treetop adventure is located opposite the visitor centre. Bicycle hire available.  Walking and Cycle Route maps available at the Visitor Centre.

Sutton Bank We love Sutton Bank for it's selection of dedicated walking and cycling paths for all abilities which take in some of the most stunning views in the area. Bicycle hire available.  Maps available at the visitor centre.

Walks 

...a few of our favourite suggestions below, but investigate yourself on the fabulous North York Moors website and search based on length, ability and location.  

Hole of Horcum and Levisham Moor - stunning landscapes and breathtaking skies on this walk which sets off from Saltersgate parking area on the Whitby Road.  Refreshments before or after at the Horseshoe Inn, Levisham - one of our favourite spots for a pint.

Mallyan Spout and Beck Hole - this is a lovely little walk from the pretty moorland village of Goathland. Stop for tea and cake before or after, there are a selection of cafes.  Park in the village car park.

Hutton le Hole and Lastingham - a lovely 4 mile circular walk skirting onto the moors above Hutton le Hole, and dipping down to the pretty village of Lastingham with it's beautiful St Mary's Church. Reward yourself with a pint at The Crown in Hutton le Hole upon your return!

Helmsley Castle to Riveaulx Abbey - a picturesque walk between two English Heritage sites. 2.5 miles each way. Dogs welcome at both the Castle and the Abbey. Stop for refreshment either in Helmsley or the cafe at Riveaulx Abbey.

Bempton Cliffs to Flamborough Head Walk -  one of the most stunning coastal walks in Britain.  Start at at the carpark of the RSPB Nature Reserve and enjoy spectacular views from highest chalk cliffs in Britain.
