Welcome to Hungate Cottages, Pickering, North Yorkshire.
The limestone farm buildings from which the Cottages have been converted were built in the mid-18th Century around two courtyards.
No longer needed for agriculture, the first seven cottages opened in May 1980 and since then four more have been converted to enable over 20,000 very happy holiday makers to visit this wonderful part of Yorkshire.
With the North Yorks Moors, the coast, the city of York, and the North Yorks Moors steam railway all within easy reach, Hungate Cottages is the perfect holiday destination.
The cottages are all unique, self-contained and each has been converted to the same standard of 4-star luxury.
They stand in colourful mature well maintained gardens where visitors can sit out (or pick early autumn plums in the orchard). All have fast wifi broadband, smart TVs, free logs. 6 of our cottages are dog-friendly.
There are 11 self catering cottages, a reception area with the Manager’s office (always contactable in an emergency), ample parking and a children’s playground.
